Ladies...how do you get over a breakup? I would love for you to share! I know that a lot of girls are dealing with broken hearts and wanting to move on but having trouble. This seems to get all of us stuck at one time or another, but some have a harder time moving on.
Hope you don't mind a guy commenting. First of, as a new Christian blogger, I wanted to say hello. I found you through your other blog.
Anyway, as far as moving on, it is something I struggled with before I met my wife. I had two serious relationship's prior to Sarah. Not to be trite, but time and faith really are the only things that help you get completely over that other person.
I would, however, suggest that if you have recently broken up, that you avoid going to places or hanging out with certain people that you and your significant other did together.
Putting yourself back in those types of environments will trigger all kinds of memories... it's kind of a self-feeding cycle.
Foucs your energy on the positive areas of your life. Do something different! Meeting new people and making new friends can be a real boost.
Thank you for sharing - that's great advice and very true! It's good to get a guys point of view too! I agree that the two of the biggest ways to move on are with time and faith. God heals our hearts if we allow Him to and that happens over time. Creating new experiences and keeping yourself busy doing positive things and surrounding yourself with positive people is a wonderful start. Before you know it your new memories will wash away the old...
